My Very First Homepage

Hi I'm Azlan bin Abu Hassan (azlan_opus).

Having competed in 'Wiralaga' under Silat Seni Gayong PASAK for so long, I felt the urge to write down what little that I know. And what better way than to write it down on a website for all to see? This site started off as a research for me to learn more about making homepages. But by presenting information about silat wiralaga, I combined 2 of my interests; silat (martial arts) and computers.

Hey!! I've just moved!!! Geocities shut down so I have to park my website some place else. So, here I am at 000webhost.com. This place seems ok, so I'll stay here forever. I'll put in a forum soon and a guestbook for you to leave messages. Or at least one of them. I'll update my site in the near future. Right now, I'm tied up with something else.

My intention now is to use this site to describe my experiences fighting in the gelanggang (ring), so as to acquaint the readers about silat tournament fighting, commonly known as 'Wiralaga', or at least how it is practised in Singapore. Of course to talk about silat it is important that I say a few words about the art of Silat Seni Gayong PASAK, to shed some light on my silat background.
